This extensive remodel of a lake house, taken down to the studs, was a remarkable endeavor that showcased the exceptional collaboration with Tamarack Custom Homes. Their commitment to realizing our clients' visions is unparalleled, consistently exceeding expectations. This particular project was especially intriguing, as it began with a design inspired by Japanese aesthetics, yet our goal was to transform it into a modern farmhouse retreat while preserving select original elements. The introduction of a bright white palette revitalized both the interior and exterior, flooding the space with light and contrasting beautifully against the dark wood features left by the previous owner.

To infuse personality and vibrancy into the home, we incorporated playful pops of color through distinctive tiles on the walls and floors, as well as thoughtfully chosen paint hues. Textiles were selected to complement the stark white backdrop, adding warmth and character. One standout space is the bunk room, designed for large family gatherings, where a lively green accent creates a cozy, cabin-like atmosphere perfect for summer nights filled with laughter among cousins and siblings.

Emphasizing comfort and relaxation, the layout includes numerous areas dedicated to unwinding, whether alone or in the company of loved ones. The transformation of this space was driven by a focus on family, crafting a retreat that celebrates togetherness and joy. This elevated modern home now serves as an idyllic summer escape, inviting families to create lasting memories in a beautifully reimagined setting.
